SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25
Learn how to can and preserve farm vegetables. Harvest farm fresh veggies with a member of the Gibbet Hill Farm team and then work with Gibbet Hill Grill’s Executive Chef, Rhi Brown, to learn how to prepare and preserve your harvest. Students bring home their own canned produce to enjoy at a later date.
Price per person includes a thoughtfully prepared, snack box of crudite, dips, and breads.
The class will be held rain or shine on the farm. Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather, and wear shoes appropriate for the weather and sturdy enough for walking in and around the farm. Tools will be provided for hands-on activities, but please bring gloves that is your preference for garden work.

Stroll throughout the Gibbet Hill farm property with local forager, David Craft, to learn about the various and interesting food at your feet. Later enjoy a thoughtfully prepared snack box of crudites, dips, and breads, which will include some of these delicious wild edibles, prepared by Gibbet Hill Grill’s Chef Rhiannon Brown.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23
Join us for a unique farm workshop showcasing wool that was sheared from our own Gibbet Hill sheep. 2D needle felting is process of applying carded wool onto fabric to create a piece of art, ‘painting with wool’.
In this workshop, participants will work with raw wool to learn the steps involved in processing the wool so that it is suitable for needle felting. Afterwards, participants will create a ‘painting’ with the carded wool. All supplies will be provided.
For ages 12 and over, however due to the sharpness of the needles used in the felting process, we request that children be supervised by an adult.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13
Herbal tea is soothing to the soul. Gibbet Hill Bartender and Herbalist, Amanda Rankin, will instruct students on the basics of blending their own tea using herbs that were grown and dried at Gibbet Hill Farm.
Students will take home a tin filled with their own blend of tea made in class.
Snacks and beverage provided (hot beverages and sweets), in addition to sipping tea samples.
